Many of the moments of revelation on BSG were absolutely riveting and haunting television and I think a lot of that is due to Bear McCreary’s score. I think it’s a great testament to the artist that the writers had his music become so intwined with the actual series that it became an actual plot-point, it made it all the more powerful when scenes like “Kara Remembers” played themselves out.

One of the things I like most about science fiction in general and Battlestar Galactica in particular is the willingness to take risks, to take creative chances and create something new, even if it’s created from other source material, like “All Along the Watch Tower.” I love science fiction because it asks the question “What If?” I love this song; it makes me ask: What if we could do with our own lives what Bear McCreary did with this music? How awesome would be be if we could do that?

I just watched every BSG episod on DVD in 8 days. I so fraking love this show!

@strutnoodle I disagree, there was nothing “open ended” about the ending of BSG, they established the hallucinations of Baltar and Six were some kind of angel figures and that “God” does in fact exist and they serve him.

imo, Kara was a Christ figure with her resurrection/saving mankind/bringing them to their “end”

I consider myself a fan, but after season 3 the writers show needed to get airlocked … figuratively.
